FDOT D7: Baker Street from Reynolds Street to Mobley Street

FDOT District 7: S.R. 600 (U.S. 92)
Plant City, Hillsborough County, Florida

The project included the design and survey for the resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation (RRR) improvements for a 1.6 mile segment of S.R. 600 Baker Street.  Under these improvements, the roadway corridor was milled and resurfaced through the historic district of downtown Plant City, FL. A Multi-modal Facilities Analysis was conducted to identify sufficient demand to warrant pedestrian, bike, and/or transit facility(s) to be placed within the corridor.  Other improvements consisted of signalization, signing & pavement marking, roadway lighting, ITS and pedestrian ADA upgrades.  Pavement and typical sections were designed to maintain the historical brick infrastructure and granite curb which lies beneath various parts of the roadway segments.  Right-of-Way Mapping was required to identify historical survey and property boundaries within the project limits.
